Raj Kamal

Raj Kamal is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in criminal law, representing clients before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, and the courts and tribunals across India. He also holds significant expertise in White Collar Crime, Real Estate, Insolvency, Constitutional Law, Company Law, Education, Service Law, Civil and Matrimonial disputes, and Arbitration.

A graduate of Symbiosis Law School, Pune of Batch 2006, Raj Kamal furthered his legal education with a Master’s in Business Law from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore, in 2007. He is the Managing Partner and Founder of Avyay Legal LLP, based in New Delhi, where he continues to lead a thriving practice.

From February 2014, Raj Kamal has held the prestigious designation of Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India. His professional contributions extend to academia as well, where he serves as a Guest Professor at Symbiosis Law School, Noida, a role he has fulfilled since 2015.

Raj Kamal’s career began under the mentorship of renowned Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Mr. KTS Tulsi, at RK Chambers from July 2006 to June 2016. During this period, he not only assisted Mr. Tulsi on prominent cases but also independently represented clients. His prior appointments include serving as Deputy Advocate General for the State of Punjab at the Supreme Court of India from 2017 to September 2021 and as the Standing Counsel for the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee from 2007 to 2012.

His work as both an arguing and briefing counsel is recognized across the Supreme Court, the Delhi High Court, lower courts, and various tribunals and commissions in Delhi, as well as other High Courts across the country.
